Due to the Mako's extended melt-zone and high flow-rate capability, some users may experience clogs when printing with PLA or other filaments with low melting temperatures if certain precautions are not taken. Clogs can occur if heat rises within the hotend (heat creep) & causes the filament to soften too early, leading to blockages in the hotend/nozzle.
Recommendations for Avoiding Clogs
Important: After importing our custom material profiles into Bambu Studio, you must manually select them before each print. Bambu Studio does not apply imported profiles by default, so failing to select them may result in suboptimal performance or clogging.
